On January 3, 2000 I started working at Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union in Tampa, FL. I started in the Credit Card Department as a Rep II. In July 2001, I was promoted to a Rep I. Then in January 2003 I was promoted to a Sr. Credit Card Rep. I believe it was in July 2005 that I was promoted to the Credit Card Coordinator. However, in February 2006, I quit working at Suncoast so I could stay home full-time with Jasmine and eventually I was there when Tye came.
Several months later, in October, my old supervisor called and asked me if I would be willing to come back part time on a temporary basis as they needed someone to do the general ledgers (which I had done for a long time while I was working there full-time) while the girl that was doing them was out on maternity leave. So I said yes and began working again on Mondays and Saturdays each week. (Only problem was it was more as a temp person than a regular employee.)
Near the end of the 3 months she came to me with a proposal to stay on permanently as a part-time rep. I decided that it would work well and so have been there part-time ever since. Of course, they keep trying to talk me into going full-time. lol
Soooooo with all that said, even though it has technically been 11 years since I started working at the Credit Union, my "adjusted time" makes it only 10 years on Dec 8, 2010.
My supervisor, decided to make the day a "Survivor" theme, including tiki torches and everything! lol

Here is my cake, yes my name is spelled wrong, they messed up...well the place messed up, but they didn't realize it until they got it out of the store and couldn't get it fixed because of the color of icing staining the orange and the time they had.

My supervior told of the significant dates and then voted me "most valuable player". She also talked about how even though she loves the others she works with that I get more done in my 20 hours than they do in 40 hours.

Then I got my service award and my "fake" $100 envelope. I already had gotten the $100 check and used it to go shopping while I was in Utah with my sister! (Thanks Sal!) I am wearing one of the outfits I got!

Here are some of the people that were there sharing in my special day.

Here I am giving my little two cents worth about the funny things and the secrets of my success at the credit union. lol

Thanks for a great party everyone!! Oh and I almost forgot, my friend Loretta, made me a Hummingbird Cake for the party too! OH YUMMY!!!! I love hummingbird cake, right after chocolate, but I have only had it from a very expensive bakery. So Loretta was so great and made it for me and it was delicious!!!
Wonder if I will be at the credit union in another 10 years. lol
