March Goals Review Week 4

Here is the review for this week. I will do my best to make one more review on Wednesday with anything I got done these last few days of the month. So without further discussion here is my review for this week!

1. Exercise at least 5 days a week 30 minutes each day (Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat)--On Monday I did BL2 High Intensity 1x (only 20 mins), Wednesday I did WATP2 (35 mins), Thursday I did DDR (30 minutes), and I also walked Tye to school (30 mins--15 mins each way), Friday I did Sweatin' to the Oldies 1 (35 mins), and Tye begged me to take a walk. When I asked why (since it was my scrapping day) he said "because I need my exercise!" lol Saturday I must admit I didn't do anything. I had been so busy at work, going, going, going that I just needed a break. So fairly good, but not the best. The only really BAD day was Saturday. At least I got movement every other day.
2. Strength train 3x a week (Tues, Thurs, Sat)--Again I did not do well with this. I only did SOME on Tuesday and it wasn't the full routine. At least it was something.
3. Log all my exercise and strength training in SarkPeople.--DONE I logged it all
4. Log all food in SparkPeople at least 6 times a week--I did really good again this week! I am pretty sure I logged EVERYTHING everyday except Sunday.
5. Blog my updates/results at least once a week--Again doing it right now!
6. Get in bed by 11pm each night--Well let's see, Sunday night, Monday night, and Tuesday night I was okay. The rest of the week was not well. I mean I tried some days, but most of the time I was lucky if it was 11:30 getting in bed.
7. Complete at least 25 scrapbook pages I want to finally finish February 2007, I keep saying this and then I don't do it, I get sidetracked with other pages for more recent stuff. I also want to catch up completely on my weight loss album (I think I need to work on November-March) and my family month in review album (I think I have Sept-Feb to complete! YIKES!). Guess I really better get my bootie in gear!--This week I completed 9 pages!! YIPEE!!!! GO ME!! lol 2 weeks in a row that I have done totally AWESOME!!! lol Which brings my total for the month to 32!! That is 7 over my goal for the month! As already stated my weight loss album and also Kevin's weight loss album are caught up. I finally completed the last Feb 2007 LO!!! I still have not worked on my family month in review album (which stinks because then I am going to have a whole other month to complete in a week! lol). I guess that is a big thing for next month then. I don't think that is going to happen the next two days.
8. Make the quilts for my niece and nephew (I have done one for each of the new niece or nephew for their first Christmas, well since we aren't doing gifts to each person this year, I slacked and didn't get them done. I need to get them done this month.)--Well WOOHOO I at least got the material and I think it is adorable! :-) I think they will really like it once they are done.
9. Make pillowcases for all the holidays we are missing for DH and I and make a whole set for DS--I am TRILLED that I am as done as I can be! I was unable to do the Thanksgiving one as I didn't have any material and they said it won't come out again until July. So for now I completed the last two Patriotic ones! The sets are complete (minus 1 Thanksgiving one for Tye). Please read my Scrapbooking blog to see the new pillowcase I got done this week. I am thinking about doing a school type one for September, but that will have to wait until July also I am sure.
10. Catch up on all my blog posts on here. As you know if you read my blog, that I am still in December!!! Lol--I got some more done this week. But I am still on Christmas Eve. The last few days I would like to try to get at least Christmas Day finished. This will still be another goal for next month.
11. Last thing is to get our taxes done. That will be a huge relief especially with DH being without a job.--YIPEE They are done and we got our return money on the 13th! I bought the tickets for our vacations this summer after we got the money. Now to keep our eyes out for a deal on the type of laptop we want!

Well this week was up and down in many ways too. I am glad for the things I did accomplish and know there are still many things that need to be worked on.

So here are the goals for the last few days of the month: Finish the Christmas Day blog posts. And do my exercise/strength training as I should.

I think that is all. So I will do my best to post my final review on Wednesday and my new goals for April!

March Goals Review Week 3

Here it is again, another review of my goals for this month:

1. Exercise at least 5 days a week 30 minutes each day (Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat)--On Monday I did DDR which is Dance, Dance Revolution Disney Version (30 mins), Wednesday I did the Prevention Cardio Sculpt (20 mins), Thursday I did Tae Bo (30 minutes), and I also walked Tye to school (30 mins--15 mins each way), Friday I did BL2 High Intensity 2x (30 mins), Saturday I did WATP 2 mile (35 mins). So I did pretty good. Only 1 day I did less than 20 minutes, but that is okay.
2. Strength train 3x a week (Tues, Thurs, Sat)--I did not do well with this at all. In fact the only time I did do it was on Wednesday as part of one of the videos. Not good.
3. Log all my exercise and strength training in SarkPeople.--DONE I logged it all
4. Log all food in SparkPeople at least 6 times a week--I did MUCH better this time! I am pretty sure I logged EVERYTHING everyday except Sunday.
5. Blog my updates/results at least once a week--Again doing it right now!
6. Get in bed by 11pm each night--Well let's see, Sunday night, Monday night, and Tuesday night I was okay. The rest of the week, well I think one of those nights I was close. The rest, weren't even close. I guess I will try better again this week.
YIKES!). Guess I really better get my bootie in gear!--This week I completed 8 pages!! YIPEE!!!! GO ME!! lol Which brings my total for the month to 23. Only 2 pages to go and I still have a week and a half to complete them!! As already stated my weight loss album and also Kevin's weight loss album are caught up. I only have 1 LO left to be done with Feb 2007!!! (I really tried to get it done this week, but what I wanted to do just wasn't working so I need to think on it this week and then do it at least on Friday. I still have not worked on my family month in review album (which stinks because then I am going to have a whole other month to complete in a week! lol). I said I was going to work on it this week, but that didn't happen. MAYBE this coming week IF I can complete the last Feb 2007 LO.
8. Make the quilts for my niece and nephew (I have done one for each of the new niece or nephew for their first Christmas, well since we aren't doing gifts to each person this year, I slacked and didn't get them done. I need to get them done this month.)--Still didn't start, still have 3 left to make. And I didn't get the material picked out. I did see that I do have some so I am going to do my best to work with that, BUT the thing is, I still need to go shopping because they don't really go with each other. So I have a front or a back, but not a whole quilt.
9. Make pillowcases for all the holidays we are missing for DH and I and make a whole set for DS--I am very proud of myself!! I got 4 pillowcases done this week again! I wanted to do 5, but the one last night was NOT working as I was having problems with my sewing machine and the thread tension not right. So I was glad I had the 4 done I did. Please look at my scrapbooking blog for pictures and some additional comments. I still have 2 Patriotic ones to make and 1 Thanksgiving one to make. Soooo that means I only have 3 pillowcases to make this week! BUT I have to go shopping for some Thanksgiving material, I don't have any left from my previous pillowcase making experience.
10. Catch up on all my blog posts on here. As you know if you read my blog, that I am still in December!!! Lol--I got 4 done this week. I lied last week too, not on purpose, but I did say I thougth I was up to Christmas Eve and I was not. I was only on the 22nd of December. I am NOW on Christmas eve! lol Boy I guess this will be on going for this next month cause there is no way I am going to be able to finish December AND do January, February and now March. SOOOOOO here is hoping I can finish December this week or AT LEAST by the end of the month! lol
11. Last thing is to get our taxes done. That will be a huge relief especially with DH being without a job.--YIPEE They are done and we got our return money on the 13th! I bought the tickets for our vacations this summer after we got the money. Now to keep our eyes out for a deal on the type of laptop we want!

Well in some ways I did better than I planned on and in other ways I did worse. I did not get the Feb 2007 pages done. I did not start on the month in review pages. I did not start on the quilts. I didn't get the 5 pillowcases done. BUT I did get 4 of them done. I DID get 8 LOs done! I DID exercise 5 days this week and logged everything this week.

So here are this week's goals: Finish the Feb 2007 LO. Complete at least 5 scrapbook pages. Complete at least 1 month in review LO (doesn't matter which one). Finish all the pillowcases. Finish the December blog posts.

I think that is more than enough to keep me busy this week! Have a great week everyone! See ya next Sunday. (Well before that because I have to do my "catch up posts"! lol) And speaking of that, if you haven't been here in at least the last hour, please go to the posts below and see all the ones you have missed!!!! There are some really fun ones!

Father Son Campout 032009-032109

As soon as they announced in church that they were having a Father Son Campout, Kevin said he wanted to take Tye. Once I found out there were going to be other younger kids there too then I was okay with it.

After getting lost (down a cow pasture! lol), they finally found the church farm where they were having the campout. Their tent was already set up for them and Tye and his buddy, Noah (you might remember him from the Christmas Lane outing. lol) began playing in the tent.

Tye found a cool grasshopper on their tent!
One of the other Dad's brought one of those motorized toy vehicles for the boys to play with. This is Noah (in the back of the vehicle), Tye and Herbie Lee. You can just see how much fun it was for them.

Tye's turn to drive! Watch out!!! lol
Only one minor accident happened with this vehicle. I am not sure all the details but basically what I understand is at some point Herbie Lee's dad, Herbie stood in front of the vehicle and then said "Superman" (I guess because he could stop the vehicle from moving. Men, I swear.) Anyway, so a moment later, Tye decided he was going to do the same thing and stood in front of the vehicle and yelled "Superman", right before he got RAN OVER by the tractor!!!! Luckily one of the other dad's came over and lifted it off him and rescued Tye.

The guys decided to build a fire to cook their dinner. However, there is a ban on fires because of the draught so they were quickly told to put it out! lol OOOOPS!
Tye and Noah enjoying the tent again.

Tye thinks the pinecone is pretty awesome!
Uh yeah, you can certainly tell that the men were in charge. Nasty dirty faced child! lol He even went to bed with this dirty face!!! Dirt and chocolate, a great combination! lol

Tye ready for bed!

Tye and Noah the next morning.
Helping clean up.

As you can see there is not ONE picture of the Father and Son together. Nice. lol I am lucky I got these pictures, but I told Kevin not to come home until he had taken at least 25 pictures. So obviously next year I am going to have to qualify that statement. "Don't come home until you have taken at least 25 pictures and at least 5 of them have to be of the two of you together!" lol
I think they had a wonderful time, especially since Tye keeps asking to go camping again! lol

St. Patrick's Day 031709

Warning, lots of green food but it still may make you hungry! Better get a snack before you read or else you may want to REALLY eat after!! lol

Unfortunately on St. Patricks Day I had to work. So the night before I prepared the breakfast for them the next morning, all they had to do was heat it up. So Kevin got up and heated up the zucchini scramble (we love this breakfast as it gives us our veggies in with our eggs!) But I also added green food coloring to the eggs so it was ALL green. Kevin also added the green food coloring to his milk too. Tye thought it was pretty cool.

They called me at work and I asked Tye what he had for breakfast and he told me so excitedly "GREEN MILK AND EGGS!!!!" lol I asked him how it got there all green. He said he didn't know. I told him I thought the leprechans left it. He was pretty sure that I was right! lol

Then after work I came home and we made our St. Patricks Day dinner. Here is Tye helping me make the dessert. (There are full pics later.) And no there is not cream of chicken soup in the dessert, that is for the dinner! lol This is pistaschio pudding.

Tye decided that the kitty needed to be festive too. So he puts some beads on him. However, as you can see with the pressed back ears, Emilio was not impressed (or happy! lol)

Our shamrock glasses and his green shirt and pants.
Now with the headband and antennae on!
Daddy's turn with the shamrock glasses!
My cute boy!
Daddy and his boy!
Our family
So here is our dinner.
Close up. Ham, with green funeral potatoes (hashbrown casserole for non-Mormon, Utah/Idaho people lol), broccoli, jello cottage cheese salad (made with lime jello) and lemon lime koolaid. YUM!!!!!!! I told you that you would want some! lol
Dessert
Now for the usage of the pistaschio pudding.....
This is called Leprechan Pie. It has a graham cracker crust, chocolate pudding,
pistaschio pudding with cool whip and pineapple mixed in.

The first piece was soooooooooooooooo good, the rest of the pie Kevin accidentally dropped on the kitchen floor. He managed to save one piece, well that became MINE!!! lol
I think we will make it again some day, but not for awhile, maybe next year! lol

We had a great day and lots of yummy, yet healthy food! :-) Sorry to make you hungry. If you would like any of these recipes please let me know and I can provide them to you.

DDR 03/15/09

I admit, I am a little addicted to DDR (Dance, Dance Revolution). It has an option to choose a workout so I love using that for my exercise some days. Makes it not feel like exercise, but just fun! Of course, because Mommy does it, Tye wants to also. He can't figure it out yet, so Kevin helps him (hahaha, Kevin gets in the exercise without realizing it too! lol). It cracks me up when they do it. Here is a video because pictures just CANNOT describe it! lol

March Goals Report Week 3

So here is my report for this week:

1. Exercise at least 5 days a week 30 minutes each day (Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat)--On Monday I did BL2 High Intensity 2x (30 mins), Wednesday I did Walk Away the Pounds 2 mile (35 mins), Thursday I did kickboxing (but only for 20 minutes), however, later that day we went for a walk as a family one time around our block...about 15 mins, Friday I did BL2 High Intensity 2x again (30 mins), Saturday I a prevention magazine DVD with Cardio Sculpt (which includes weights/strength training) and Kickboxing (30 mins total). So I accomplished this goal entirely this week!!!
2. Strength train 3x a week (Tues, Thurs, Sat)--I am proud to say I did Strength training each of the days I said, BUT I didn't always do my full routine but I don't feel bad about that because one of the days I did new things that I don't normally do because they were part of a video.
3. Log all my exercise and strength training in SarkPeople.--DONE I had to update some of it today, but I did log it for this whole week.
4. Log all food in SparkPeople at least 6 times a week--I did MUCH better this time! I logged EVERYTHING everyday except Sunday.
5. Blog my updates/results at least once a week--Again doing it right now!
6. Get in bed by 11pm each night--Well let's see, Sunday night, Thursday night and Friday night I got in bed at 11:01 or 11:02 so I was pretty close. Monday and Tuesday night I was in bed by 10 or 10:30 because I had to work the next day. Wednesday, I wasn't even close, I don't think I got to bed until almost midnight. Oh well, there is always next week!
YIKES!). Guess I really better get my bootie in gear!--This week I completed 6 pages. Which brings my total for the month to 15. Only 10 pages to go and I have two and half weeks to complete them!! As I stated last week I had already caught caught up my weight loss album and also Kevin's weight loss album. I also had completed 1 page of my Feb 2007 album. This week I completed another 3 pages. I think I only have 2 LOs left to be done with Feb 2007!!! I sitll have not worked on my family month in review album. So I need to try to work on that this week, but I would rather get Feb 2007 completed first. So we'll see what I can get done!
8. Make the quilts for my niece and nephew (I have done one for each of the new niece or nephew for their first Christmas, well since we aren't doing gifts to each person this year, I slacked and didn't get them done. I need to get them done this month.)--Still didn't start, still have 3 left to make.
9. Make pillowcases for all the holidays we are missing for DH and I and make a whole set for DS--I am very proud of myself!! I got 4 pillowcases done this week (I found 2 that had already been cut out from when I made them before, so I used those to make 2 of them.) The other 2 I made completely from start to finish. Please look at my scrapbooking blog for pictures and some additional comments.
10. Catch up on all my blog posts on here. As you know if you read my blog, that I am still in December!!! Lol--I have done a couple. I am up to Christmas eve I think! woohoo! lol Good thing I have until the end of the month to finish catching up and January didn't have that many things happen! lol
11. Last thing is to get our taxes done. That will be a huge relief especially with DH being without a job.--YIPEE They are done and we got our return money this Friday! I bought the tickets for our vacations this summer. Now to keep our eyes out for a deal on the type of laptop we want!

I am pretty proud of what I got done this week. I hope to do as well this week! I saw in the ads that Joanns has some of their flannel fabric and some holiday fabrics on sale. So I think I will try to head over there on Thursday to see if I can find some for the kids quilts and if there are any holiday fabrics we need to complete our set. I need to go through my other tub of fabric and see what I have first. So my goal for this week is to complete at least 5 pillowcases. And to decide on what I am going to use for each quilt. My other goal is to complete at least 5 scrapbook pages and finish scrapping Feb 2007.

March Goals Report Week 1

So as one of my goals was to report my results at least once a week. So although I did get some things accomplished I am not happy with some of my other results this week, especially on the weight loss. But here is what happened this week anyways:

1. Exercise at least 5 days a week 30 minutes each day (Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat)--On Monday I did kickboxing (but only for 20 minutes), Wednesday I did Walk Away the Pounds 1 mile (again only 20 minutes), Thursday I did kickboxing again (but only for 20 minutes...are you seeing a pattern here??? lol), Friday I did Tae Bo (YIPEE for 30 minutes!!), but Saturday I didn't do any exercise
2. Strength train 3x a week (Tues, Thurs, Sat)--I am proud to say I did Strength training each of the days I said, BUT I didn't do my full routine so I am not as happy about that
3. Log all my exercise and strength training in SarkPeople.--DONE for this whole week!!
4. Log all food in SparkPeople at least 6 times a week--ummmm, well from the 1st-7th, I only logged ALL food in SparkPeople 4 days (there was 1 day I logged but not the whole day. Two days weren't logged at all.)
5. Blog my updates/results at least once a week--Doing it right now!
6. Get in bed by 11pm each night--I think of the 7 days so far only 3 days did I get in bed by 11pm. I can tell on the days I did things seemed to be better the next day.
YIKES!). Guess I really better get my bootie in gear!--I completed 9 pages yesterday! Woohoo over 1/3 of my goal for the month! I also caught up my weight loss album and also Kevin's weight loss album. I completed 1 page of my Feb 2007 album. (I think I only have about 6 LOs left, not sure if they will be 1 or 2 page LOs, but I have 6 sets of pictures I need to finish. I just might make it!! lol)
8. Make the quilts for my niece and nephew (I have done one for each of the new niece or nephew for their first Christmas, well since we aren't doing gifts to each person this year, I slacked and didn't get them done. I need to get them done this month.)--Didn't even start on....AND I just found out that my sister (that has my new nephew) ALSO just got their referral for their China adoption!! Soooooooo that means instead of just 2 quilts I really need to do 3 this month....YIKES!!! I really better get moving on this! lol
9. Make pillowcases for all the holidays we are missing for DH and I and make a whole set for DS--didn't start on this one either.
10. Catch up on all my blog posts on here. As you know if you read my blog, that I am still in December!!! Lol--I think I did one and I have completed a couple of recent posts, but still have lots to do to catch up!
11. Last thing is to get our taxes done. That will be a huge relief especially with DH being without a job.--YIPEE They are done and we should get our return money this coming Friday! Now I can purchase our airline tickets for our vacations this summer and also a laptop that I have really needed.

Oh on another note, Kevin has a job!! He is working at Best Buy on the Geek Squad! I had a friend who said, "I am sure he has never been so happy to be called a Geek!" Sooo true! It is only part time, but at least it will give us additional income. He is still looking for a full time job. But we think he will do both for awhile.

So with that I will report again next week. I hope I will be able to say I have done better this week than I did this past week!

Florida Strawberry Festival 030509

We love the Strawberry Festival!!! It is basically like the State Fair only ever so slightly smaller. It is the second largest fair in the state behind the State Fair. ANYWAY, it is held in Plant City, Florida, which is the winter strawberry capital of the world. Soooo many road side stands and of course mile after mile of strawberry fields. It is great for us because we end up getting them for cheap! I got a full flat this year for $5.99!! Oh yeah!

Okay I digress again, sorry! lol So on March 5th we went to the Florida Strawberry Festival.

While we were there, guess what we did the most of???? If you read my post from back in November and the November Fest (which is the 3rd largest fair in the state! lol, all in our backyard!) you will know this is Tye's FAVORITE!!!! The HUGE slide!!! Kevin and Tye went on it 15 times total and I went on it with him once! lol
You can sure see the joy on his face as he jumps up and as he runs by you says "Let's go again!!!"

Yeah, this was my attempt to take him on something other than the ride.....it didn't work out. This was like the teacup at Disney, but it was a strawberry. And although he loved it at Disney he HATED it at the Strawberry Festival! Oh well! lol Back to the slide...lol

Oh yeah we did get him to agree to go in the helicopter. But only one time and back to the slide....lol

There was this super cute cut out of the county sherrifs officers. He so LOVES policemen. He actually can spot any police car anywhere, even if it is an undercover car!!!!! It is soooo funny!

Mommy and Tye Tye in the Strawberry Festival Queen's chair (yes there is a strawberry festival pagent! lol I told you it is only slightly smaller than the State Fair!)
Mommy gets her chance on the slide with Tye Tye.
OH YEAH NASCAR!! Right on and he knows all about the Home Depot car! He spots it every race! lol So he ran STRAIGHT to it when he was getting on the ride! lol

Happy to be on the Merry Go Round! lol
There was this lumberjack show. They had a sawing contest. An ax throwing contest. And a log rolling contest. Along with a few other things.

The guy on the left is a multi time log rolling champion. So he challenged the guy on the right to a contest. Well the guy was like okay. Then he told this lady in the grandstands to stand up and hold her arms out. She did that. And then he says, "see when I hope on this log Buddy (whatever the guy's name was) will go flying and you will need to catch him!" ROFL! And although the guy didn't go flying that end of the log raised up while the other side sunk down at first! lol So they started their contest. Near the end the guy on the right was running as fast as he could and he was like one of those cartoon guys that are running really fast but someone has ahold of their shirt and they aren't going anywhere but their arms and legs are going a mile a minute!!! lol

And he was launched into the water! lol It was a lot of fun to watch!

Tye trying out his dart skills (he was NOT good! lol)

The fun house. Tye loved purposely banging into the walls! lol

At the top!

The ONLY way out.....down the slide that shot you right off the end!!! lol Daddy went with Tye I believe 3-4 times. Mommy went with Tye 2 times! lol

Tye on the cow foot massager! lol Waiting for Daddy to get the Strawberry shortcake.

Yep can't go to the Strawberry Festival without getting Strawberry Shortcake. It is a crime!!! lol Just kidding. But it is YUMMY! And of course, since Mommy used to go to fairs all the time as a kid she remembers getting an Elephant Ear. So we have to get that too! (For those that don't know an Elephant Ear is a HUGE scone--dough fried, yeah not so great for the diet, but an awesome special once a year treat.) We all shared them. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!

We had a great time and can't wait to go again next year!

Metacarpophalangeal Joint

Tonight at dinner Tye was telling us that "this is my knuckle". Kevin said, "no that is your metacarpophalangeal joint." Tye looked at him quizzical and said, "no it's my knuckle you silly!" So Kevin said it again that it was his metacarpophalangeal joint. Tye looked at Kevin and said, "I DON'T SPEAK SPANISH!" ROFL!! We were dying!!!!! That was the funniest thing I have heard in a long time!!!! I am still cracking up over that one!! lol

March Goals

Okay this is my second post today so PLEEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEE scroll down to see the other post I did today. You see I really prefer you see that post instead of this one! lol It is of Tye's Christmas Program at his school. Yeah, you know I am behind and a HUGE slacker. So one of my goals is to get caught up on this blog!

I need to start making some goals so I can continue to lose weight and complete some projects around here. So here is my list for this month, wow it seems to keep growing. But I am going to really work on it. It is March 1st, so I have 31 days to complete them! I will try to give updates each Sunday to let you know and to see for myself how well I am doing.

1. Exercise at least 5 days a week 30 minutes each day (Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat).
2. Strength train 3x a week (Tues, Thurs, Sat)
3. Log all my exercise and strength training in SarkPeople.
4. Log everything in SparkPeople at least 6 times a week
5. Blog my updates/results at least once a week.
6. Get in bed by 11pm each night.
YIKES!). Guess I really better get my bootie in gear!
8. Make the quilts for my niece and nephew (I have done one for each of the new niece or nephew for their first Christmas, well since we aren't doing gifts to each person this year, I slacked and didn't get them done. I need to get them done this month.)
9. Make pillowcases for all the holidays we are missing for DH and I and make a whole set for DS.
10. Catch up on all my blog posts on here. As you know if you read my blog, that I am still in December!!! Lol
11. Last thing is to get our taxes done. That will be a huge relief especially with DH being without a job.
