Tye's 1st Grade Field Trip 2/4/11

Tye's school took the first graders to the Aquarium for their field trip this year. They did it fairly early because last year I guess there were 5 other schools there at the same time and it was insane. So they decided to do it early and avoid some of the craziness! lol

As soon as we got there the kids ate lunch (yeah at like 10am...but they normally eat lunch at 10:22am every day! lol) and then we headed off to see all the exhibits!

Here they are investigating the alligators!

Tye was putting the moves on the mermaid (okay not really, but I figured it was a cute picture so I made him sit down there! lol)
I am sad that my video is too long, but this was soooooooo funny! The kids walked up to the stingray tank and this one came right up to the them and started flipping its fins...almost like it was waving at the kids! They stood there for a good 5 mins watching this stingray wave at them! It was so adorable!

This was the touch tank. The kids thought this was pretty cool and a little weird too! lol

They have these fun little shells that the kids can play in.

The kids were able to see a couple of diving shows. They thought that was pretty cool.

Unfortunately then my camera died. :-( So I got no more pictures. The good thing is Tye's teacher, Miss Paugh, took a picture of the whole class and she sent it to me. So here they are in front of one of the HUGE glass walls that looks into one of the fish tanks.

We had a lot of fun and the kids thought the fish and everything they saw were totally cool! lol
