The Royal Wedding 04/29/11

This morning at 3:45am the alarm went off so I could get up and watch the Royal Wedding! This is a historic occasion and I wanted to be somewhat a part of it! I saw this recipe on a blog called Dinah's Dishes to make scones for the Royal Wedding. So after I got semi awake, about 5:15am, I started to make the scones.

I got them in the oven at about 5:40, just in time for them to finish and be drizzled with glaze and eaten just as the wedding was officially starting! OH MY they were DIVINE!!

A few of us girls from our scrapbook team talked about getting on our chat site and chatting and watching the wedding together! So here is my set up...Sitting in my recliner with the TV on, my laptop in my lap with the chatroom up! It was soooooo much fun!!!!! Thanks girls for making my day!The wedding took place in Westminster Abbey. (I have been there, so interesting and the architecture is BEAUTIFUL!) Here is the pic I took of the TV with Harry on the left, Prince William, Princess Kate and her father on the right.Denice said we should wear our tiaras for the occasion, at first I was thinking I didn't have one, but then I realized that I have the one I wore in the Miss Pre-teen pageant from when I was 12 years old!! lol

My self portrait of me and my tiara! lol

This is the picture Kevin took of me later! lol This was after the wedding was over when Kevin and Tye got up. Tye had originally said he wanted to watch the wedding but I told him no! lol #1 it was too early and #2 he wouldn't have been quite and I would have missed most of it and been ticked off!!! lol

Here is the Royal Couple after the wedding.

And now the official photos (lol) from online:

Princess Kate's wedding dress...so Grace Kellyish. I LOVED it!!! Gorgeous high collar, lace top with a slightly low neckline in the front, but so pretty. I loved the beadwork on the bottom of the gown and the train.

Here are the happy couple coming out of Westminster Abbey.
In the same carriage Prince William's parents rode in after their wedding!

THE KISS!

(Well one of the two kisses, the first one was a peck, I almost missed it, the second one was slightly longer and I DID miss it, but I saw the "replay" lol)

The Wedding Cake. So beautiful! Love the all white and the multi layers!

What a great day!! It was wonderful to watch and it was great to chat with friends while we watched it! So historic and everything seemed to go off without a hitch! Lovely couple and I hope all works out for them!

Love the pictures of you in your tiara, so stylish! I just knew you had a pink robe...reminds me of the first retreat! :D

The scones look yummy, I'm so glad you enjoyed them!

I'm wishing the royal couple the best, and hoping that fairy tales can come true!
