Eagle of the Month 04/21/11

One Saturday in Tye's backpack I find a note that says something to the effect of "Dear Stevens Family, The Eagle of the Month Awards Ceremony has been changed to April 21, 2011." I was like, "HUH?!" Why do I care if it's been changed? lol Did Tye actually get student of the month?? Luckily I had his teacher's cell number cause I didn't want to wait until Monday to find out! So I texted her and asked, "Is this right? Did Tye get student of the month?!" lol She responded that he had and that I should not be so surprised because he is a great kid. And I said, "yeah, but not a great student". Apparently that is not the criteria for getting Eagle of the Month! lol :-) It actually has more to do with their "character" and being kind and honest and friendly. Obviously we know that is definitely Tye. Always the compassionate one. :-)

My camera wasn't working so great so I had a problem getting a non-blurry good picture right when he got the award. lol

I had to watch West that day so we took him with us. Tye thought it was awesome that West got to see him get his award! lol :-)
Kevin had to run out as soon as they presented Tye with his award so it was just a picture of Tye and I. :-)

Then they gave us cinnamon rolls to celebrate! YUMMY!
