So we have been going to speech therapy pretty much every week for the last almost 6 months. Well today he had to be re-evaluated to see how he was doing. He was such a good boy and did everything the tester lady asked him to.
She said he is WAAAAYYYY better. He went from a score of 80 to 101 (normal is 85-115) and from a 12% percentile rank to 46% and went from an age equivalent of 2 years 7 months to 4 years 5 months!
She said that she recommends that we discontinue speech therapy at this time but that he continues on with Pre-K! She said that if down the road I felt there was a problem again I could just bring him in and they would re-evaluate him. I am so proud of him. He really has done so much better in his speech and she gave me a few pointers as to things to continue to work with him on. And that all happened in just 6 months of him going to school and taking speech therapy! I am so proud of him!!!
Great job Tye Tye!!!!

AWESOME Michele!!! My dd had to go to STherapy early on too - she was SO shy when she was a baby and toddler - she just didn't talk much at all... and when she had to start - many of her sounds were not clear! She improved fairly quickly too - but I can still tell sometimes when she gets excited that her old habits can return! So - just keep an eye on that and use the signals or remind him of the tools and he'll be fine!!!

That is great news! I am glad the evaluation went so well!
