Apollo Beach 042508

My niece sent me her Flat Stella, which is based on a book called Flat Stanley. In the book, Stanley is flat and he finds that because of that he can travel through the mail to lots of places and see new and exciting things. All of the kids have done it for the social studies project at their school so far. So we first went to Dinosaur World and took a few photos. I had a little funny thing happen while there. I have lost a little more than 30 pounds and so when I put my capris on they were loose. Well I didn't think much of it, I had my swimsuit on underneath so we didn't have to change in the port-a-potty to go the beach later. Anyway, when I got out of the car I noticed there was a little issue, so I rolled the waist band up about two or three times to make it a little tighter. Well, by the time we got the pictures taken they had started to fall down, not that you could see anything, but the capris were now long pants and hip huggers at that! I think the combo of the weight loss and the lycra swimsuit just gave it the right climate to fall lower than they should be! lol

After Dinosaur World we stopped at a local farmers market in Plant City to taste the famous strawberries from the Winter strawberry capital of the world. And finally we went to Apollo Beach on the Gulf of Mexico. The water is much warmer here than in the Ocean. We had a great time playing in the water. One of Tye's favorites was to pick up the shells and rocks and throw them in the water. He and Daddy tried to skip the shells and rocks. While they were doing that I decided to get my exercise in. I would swim from where they were out several hundred yards and then swim back. I did it about 5 times. It was a great workout and we all had a wonderful time! We had a little picnic on the beach and then headed home. We were all exhausted and ended up taking a little nap!
