Pumpkin Carving 102008

So tonight we decided to get our pumpkin and carve it. Maybe a little early, but who cares it was fun! lol So here is a photo blog of it. Kevin carved the top off, with "backseat pumpkin carving" directions from me! lol He wasn't happy about it, but we got through it! lol Then we told Tye what to do and he just looked at us like we were crazy and told us "NO WAY!"

So Kevin showed him how first. He still wasn't buying it.

So I showed him.

Still, "No way."

After several minutes we finally got him to TRY. But he would only stick one finger in it. He kept saying, "Ew Yuck!" We were laughing so hard. Unfortunately we didn't get as many funny faces as he made! lol

Finally he got one lone seed out. And then again said, "Eeeew YUCK!" And stuck his tongue out! lol

We finally coaxed him into putting his whole hand in. He pretty much hated it! lol

So the carving of the face begins.

I was doing some dishes and Tye tells me "okay Mommy it is all ready. Turn around and look!" So I turned around and he was standing in front of it like he was hiding it. And then he moved away for the big reveal! lol

So here he is Mr. Pumpkin Patch, as Tye called him, until we told him it was just a pumpkin or a Jack O Lantern.

Then after the carving was done, we cleaned up a little and had donuts. Dunkin Donuts gives away free donuts every day after the Rays win a game. I found it out that day because it was the day after they won the ALCS title. So we all had one (yes I did too. I had not planned on it originally, but it fit in all my ranges and it smelled so good, so I had it! lol A one time treat!)
