We had a Halloween Party on Friday night. We had invited several people and some had called stating they had prior plans or were sick. So I ran around for two days getting the house and food ready.
At 7pm, we had everything ready and sat down to wait. And wait and wait. We were beginning to feel like HUGE losers. Finally at 7:10 (okay that is only 10 minutes, but it seems like a really long time when you are waiting for people and you have a clean house and a whole lot of food waiting to be eaten--Kevin said "well it just means more food for us!" But I don't want THAT many leftovers!), our friends the Hanchetts showed up. She used to watch Tye for us on Mondays while Kevin and I both worked. So we showed them to the food and we all got a plate and started eating. We didn't know where anyone else was, but I told Carolyn that I was sure the Hursts would show up, but they were always late! lol Sure enough at 7:30 they showed up. I said something to Karina and she laughed and said she thought they were right on time because she thought it started at 7:30 and then looked at the invite again and realized they were late! lol
The kids spent the night playing in Tye's room. I think they got out about every toy we own! lol But luckily ALMOST all of it was put away before everyone left! :-) Tye enjoyed having kids here to play with. He also enjoyed following them into the kitchen to snag some food! lol Tye has been talking about one of the girls all weekend long. He keeps telling me that he is going to go see her and play with her. lol
The adults just sat around chatting and eating all evening. I was going to break out the games, but we were having a great time just talking and then it was time for everyone to leave. The Hanchetts left around 9:30pm. But the Hursts hung around for about another hour. I was showing Karina my scrapbook stuff (my cricut, some of my albums, my supplies and I even showed her digital stuff!). They left around 10:30pm.
It was a fun night even if hardly anyone was there! Thanks for coming guys and making me not feel like the biggest loser ever! lol Hopefully our next party will be more happening! Oh and sorry, I totally spaced getting out the camera. I thought of it at one point, but I didn't do it right then and so it went right out of my brain and didn't get done at all. So sorry to everyone for no pictures.
Goodbye for Now – and Thank You

How fun, a party! You know if you had invitedmy family we would have been there...with all my kids! That is not an idle threat either! LOL! Good to hear everyone had a great time.
I love the pics of your family cutting the pumpkin! It looks like everyone enjoyed themselves, and had a fun time indulging in a few of the "treats" before Halloween! LOL!
