Mother's Day Tea 050609

Now, before you all get on me about drinking tea, I'll have you know I didn't have any! lol This was just the name of the thing they did for the mothers at Tye's school. They had punch, muffins, donuts, and other pastries. They may have had tea, but it was on another table and since I don't drink it I really didn't even pay attention! lol

Then they had a little programs. The girls in Dance Quest did a couple of numbers for us. This is Haleigh and Lexi, the twin girls in Tye's class.

In between the classes doing their presentations one of the directors of the daycare/pre-school read some comments by the kids. The teacher took each student aside and asked him/her questions. The teacher then wrote exactly what the child said. Well she was reading this one and I was looking around to see who in the world she was talking about until she said, "and that was by my friend, Tye." I was like, "WHAT?! That's not me!! lol"

Here is what he said about me (the bold green words are what he said):

My Mommy has blue eyes and gray hair.

She is 4 years old and weighs 10 pounds.

My mommy likes to exercise.

She likes to eat cake.

My mommy is afraid of monsters and ghosts.

She knows how to clean clothes better than Daddy.

I love my mommy because I love her.

So sweet, I guess he got some of it right! lol When I asked him later about the eating cake he said "you had cake at Fifi's party!" I said, "no I didn't you did, I just had one bite of yours!" lol He is toooooooo funny. Amazing how kids see the world.

Anyway, here is Tye. Cracks me up when he looks like this at me. Like he is better than me and turns his nose up all prissy like! lol And he will usually say, "hmph" when he does it! lol

They recited a little poem called My Mommy. It goes like this:

I have a special Mommy,

I think she's pretty neat.

She gives me hugs and kisses,

And tells me that I'm sweet.

She thinks that I am special.

She likes the things I do.

So I'll give Mommy a special gift

To say.....

I Love You

(They did that last line in sign language and then pointed to their Mommy! How sweet!!!!)
