Mamma Mia! Lover

Hi my name is Michele and I love Mamma Mia! lol

I remember as a kid loving to listen to ABBA. My mom loved them and would listen to them quite often. She used to tell me that my favorite song as a kid was Nina, Pretty Ballerina and I would dance around the house every time it came on. Unfortunately I don't think it was that popular of a song because it isn't on any of their newest greatest hits DVDs. So sad, because I would love a copy of it. Guess if I want to listen to it I have to go to Youtube! lol But I love a ton of ABBA songs and listen to them all the time!

Anyway, that was kindof off the topic so back to the topic of Mamma Mia! In June of 2002 we went to the UK for a trip with my sisters and their husbands. We were all coming from several different places and at different times. So Kevin and I were in London by ourselves for a few days and one of the things we did while there was go see Mamma Mia! We absolutely LOVED it! I am not sure if you have heard the commerials for the Broadway Mamma Mia but they talk about people "dancing in the isles". It really is true. Not DURING the show, but at the end when they do the curtain call people were dancing and singing and having a great time. I knew I had to have the CD so I bought it when the show was over. I listen to it all the time! I love to listen to it while I am cleaning because it gets me moving! A year or so later it came to Tampa and we went again. And then once more when it came after that. In fact, one of the times we went in Tampa a guy sitting next to us said, "you must have seen this before, you know all the words to the songs." Well I had seen it before, but they are popular Abba songs so I would know the words!! lol I just told him we saw it in London and also in Tampa. hehehe It is one of my favorite musicals (along with Wicked and Into the Woods)!

So when I saw that it was going to be made into a movie I was stoked!! I really wanted to go as soon as it came out, I knew the day and everything, BUT life happens. Between Kevin's internship, work, sleep, my work, and Tye, (since I was not going to take him to a movie he wasn't even going to like and pay over $6.00 for it! I don't think so!! lol) I was not able to go until August 28th. But of course, I loved it! I was so glad I was able to go, even if I did have to go by myself because the only time I could go was while Tye was in school and Kevin could be home to pick him up from school. I am definitely going to by the DVD when it come out so I can see it whenever I want! lol If you like Meryl Streep or Pierce Brosnan (yes they both sing in it! Quite interesting! lol) then you definitely have to see it!
