Disney again 090108

So we had one day left on our Play 4-days passes from March and it was going to expire on the 16th of this month, so this was the ONLY day really available for all of us. We thought oh boy, there are going to be some serious crowds, but it will be fun any way. So Kevin had to work Sunday night, then he came home at took about a 1 hour nap and at 7:30am we left for Disney. I drove and Kevin napped.

We got there shortly after 8:30, got parked and were on our way into the park. They had it all decorated for Halloween already. It was so cute. Here are a few pictures of the decorations.

As usual, we went straight to Tomorrowland and hit Buzz Lightyear first (twice). I love it when you get there early and you can just walk right onto rides without the hour long line/wait! Then we decided to take Tye on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority and Tye was freaking out in the dark. I took some pictures and couldn't stop laughing his face was hilarious. Here they are:

After that we hit the race cars. Tye is actually a great driver, he wanted to go with Daddy of course. They even gave him an "Official Speedway License". He thought he was hot stuff!

Then he wanted to go to Toontown, but we decided to hit the teacup on the way. Boy am I glad we did! When the group before us got off and while we were waiting to get on the ride, we realized that here come Alice and the Madd Hatter. They get into a teacup! Well there were at least 3 other families in front of us so I thought for sure we would never get a teacup by them. But the other people totally went to the right and Alice was on the left. So we beelined it to the green teacup, which is what Tye wanted to ride in. We got the teacup right next to them. They of course immediately began waving and trying to talk to Tye. He, unfortunately, decided to try to hide. But then he would peek his head out to look at them like he was trying to play peek-a-boo or something! I thought that was the coolest thing! I mean how many people get to say they rode the character's ride with them (or even next to them?!) I have never seen the characters ride any of the rides, I figured they were always too busy getting their pictures taken to ride the rides! I tried to get them in the pics of us on the ride, I only got one or two and they aren't that great of Tye or them! lol Oh well.

Next we did the Toontown thing. We went to see Mickey and Minnie and Tye acted like a goober! lol He hid all over the place, last time he was totally cool with the characters and would at least give them a high five or a hug, but not this time. He was being shy. Thanks for the nice pics son! lol Doesn't he look happy?! lol

One of Tye's other favorite rides was the Winnie the Pooh ride. We went on it twice, using a fast pass both times. For those of you who don't know what a fast pass is, you use your ticket to get another ticket for a specific ride and a set time frame (usually about an hour later or so). Then during the time frame, say 12:30-1:30, you go back and get in the fast pass line, which usually only has 1 or 2 other people in it. And skip basically right to the front of the line! It is really cool! (Make sure you use it next time you go to Disney!) We used these for every ride that had a wait time of more than 10 minutes. I just thought his face was so cute and funny in the picture, I had to add it to the blog!

Later in the day while we were walking by the castle we noticed some people looking in the grass and flowers and taking pictures. I was wondering what the heck they were doing. So me, being the nosey person I am, started looking and realized they were taking pictures of a bunny rabbit! Tye thought that was really cool and I tried to get some photos, but it was hard because he was in the bushes trying to find some food. So I got some partial pics! lol

We had lots of fun and I won't bore you with every ride we went on. But I will tell you that NO ONE was there!! lol At least not in Adventureland!! lol We walked straight onto the boat for Pirates of the Caribbean twice. NO WAIT, we literally walked straight onto the boat. Same thing happened with Jungle Cruise, the only difference is we had to wait for the boat to pull up (so what 30 seconds?). We went on Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride 3 times this way. Again, no wait. We were totally amazed. I guess everyone had their flight that afternoon and left Disney early. But really all day we had this except for Winnie the Pooh, the race cars, and Peter Pan. Everything else we waited less than 5-10 minutes. It was so weird and so fun!

Tye was adamant we went on the Liberty Bell (the paddle boat). Why he loves that as much as he does I'll never know, but we have had to go on it both times we were at Disney. So here is a picture of a boy and his boat! lol

We had dinner at the Plaza Restaurant on Main Street. It was really good. Kevin and Tye both had cheeseburgers and I had the grilled chicken with ham and swiss cheese sandwich. We had to have dessert. Kevin and I both had Sugar Free Milkshakes. They were excellent, I worried with it being sugar free it might not be good, but it was really good! And HUGE! They gave you the milkshake in the milkshake glasses and then the mixer cup along with it. Basically two milkshakes....had I known that Kevin and I would have shared one. Tye had this cute dessert called Mickeylodeon. It was a scoop of ice cream in a dish with a sugar cone on top like the sorcerer's hat. And then two grasshopper cookies as Mickey ears. It was soooooo cute! I wanted to take a picture of it, but before I got the camera out Tye had eaten one of the cookies! lol Oh well, here he is enjoying the sugar cone.

After the dinner Tye wanted to ride the race cars again. So he and Kevin went on them two more times. On the way over to Toontown again we passed the cart by the race cars. Well of course, what did it have on it? You guessed it CARS! Tye hopped out of the stroller and RAN over to the cart and grabbed Mater and Lightning McQueen! The workers all laughed and said, "Awwww!" He was so cute. We decided on a set of three cars. Mater, Lightning McQueen and Sally. He was so happy he hugged them all the way to the next ride! lol
Then two more times on the airplane roller coaster. The final request Tye had was to go "through the castle". So we did. He thought it was "pretty". :-)

We were exhausted by the time we left. I asked Tye to close his eyes and sleep on the way home. He did not fight me one bit (not that he ever does) but I am sure he was asleep before we even got onto the freeway! I am so glad we went again especially today. We had a wonderful time and it was a much needed get away from the daily crazy not seeing each other life we have right now! Too bad we couldn't have stayed longer. But we made the most of it for sure! What a great day!
