Vacation countdown

This year we are going to Utah for Thanksgiving. We wanted to fly but tickets were just too expensive and then to have to rent a car when we got there. Just wasn't going to be able to happen. So with the gas prices going down and the weather looking like it will be compliant, we are going to hit the road. Yes we must be crazy, but it's that or not see anyone until at least next July. With Tye in school now we just can't up and go whenever we feel like it, like we used to.

However, in all of that we have one anxious little boy! lol He kept telling me this morning that we were going to go in the car to Utah after school today. I told him no, that it was going to be in 5 days. Which I had to translate into "go to school today, go to night night tonight, go to school tomorrow, go night night tomorrow night, go to school on Wednesday, go night night Wednesday night, then go to school on Thursday, go night night that night and then go to school and THEN we go to Utah!" LOL Do you think he got it??? Okay, so I had to translate again...lol...4 night nights and then we go to Utah! lol Hope he got it that time! lol

So today Kevin and I were busy running errands. We went to the Post office to mail a package for him and return 2 netflix movies so we had some new good ones to take on our trip with us! Then we went to Walmart. I needed some new pants, mine currenly look like they were made for a clown!! lol (I guess they kindof were, since I am a bit of a clown sometimes! lol) I tried on a pair of size 12/14 pants (down from a 22/24!!!), they were a little snug, but I didn't get them because the waist pooched out in the back. So we went to Kmart, for me they tend to have a better selection that fits my body type. I am currently wearing Kmart pants in a size 2x. Well I was able to buy a L and they fit perfectly! We also found a super cute Thomas the train suitcase for Tye! He loved it! Then to the vet to get the kitty's medicine.

Tomorrow I work. Then Wednesday is going to house cleaning day and starting the laundry. Thursday will be finish laundry, pack suitcases, and pre-portion out our snacks and stuff to take on vacation. Friday will be pack the car and get out of town!

We will take Tye to school that morning at 11:15 and then I am picking him up at 1:30 (about 45 mins early) because his teacher said they will only do playground and centers (indoor play time) for the last hour. I will give him 15 mins to get his energy out before I pick him up. Then we will come home, change out of his school uniform clothes, visit the restroom and head out the door by 2pm on Friday. We will have a sandwich ready for him to eat in the car and then he can nap after lunch and we will be on our way.

We are very excited! It should be interesting and we will see how it all goes!
