YAY it's Strawberry Festival Time again!!!! We LOVE the Strawberry Festival! Since we wanted to have several different treats we decided we better start early! lol So we first got the elephant ear. I am not sure if you can tell really well, but we were able to watch him make it. Pretty cool!

Here it is...I must admit this one was not as good as the ones we have gotten in the past, we usually get it from a different stand, but didn't do it this time, now I wish we would have.

Kevin taking his bites of it.

Then we went on the tilt-a-whirl, NOT a good idea after eating an elephant ear! lol I was queasy for a good part of the afternoon after we did that. We really had it spinning!!! So much fun, but my stomach was not happy with me! lol

Tye rode the dragon rollar coaster. We also rode in the ferris wheel all three of us. He also rode the swings and kept sticking his tongue out at me as he went by, I didn't get any great pictures of it.

Kevin and Tye tried out a couple of fun houses. Tye always freaks out on the spinning tunnels! I LOVE his face in this picture! lol

Tye is really into dragons ever since we went to the Renisance Festival and he got the dragon tattoo. He saw this on the side of the trailer and said "COOL!" and then wanted his picture taken with it.

Then he saw this cool tractor and wanted his picture taken next to it! lol

Then I saw these cut outs and wanted our picture taken with them! Notice I am the queen bee?! lol And Kevin has a bow in his hair! ROFL!

Tye on his favorite "ride" the giant slide. The ones at the other location were giving him a hard time and telling him he couldn't go by himself even though he was the required height, so we came to the one on this side and there never once gave him a hard time!

He's one mean biker! lol

We have seen these machines every year and usually sit down at them, but never pay the money to get the foot massage. So this year we said "what the heck" it's only a quarter. HOLY COW, they about shake your whole leg off!!! We were laughing so hard. I think it makes your feet feel better because you are so glad that they have stopped shaking!!! hehehehe (Hence Tye's crazy face.)

Kevin thought this cloud looked cool so I took the picture of it with the ferris wheel.

Tye LOVED the bumper boats. The guys running it must have loved him because they left him in there forever! They had been pulling people out in order by boat number, but they some how skipped over his boat number twice. I think he was in there for a good 15-20 mins! He thought it was cool.

Then we rode the GIANT WHEEL! lol

Here is a picture of the festival from the top of the wheel. Isn't it neat looking?!

This was the Bob the Builder ride. I am not really sure why he is in with this little girl, except maybe she was too little to ride alone so they stuck him in with her?! Oh well, he had fun and she thought he was the cat's meow.

Tye saw this in one of the vendor carts. A taffy pull. He had never seen one and couldn't figure it out. Then we showed him the taffy that it makes and he was mesmorized (okay for only about a minute though! lol).

Then it was time for our second set of treats. Oh yeah, we did have dinner awhile before this. We all had different things. I had gone there wanting to have something crazy (like a burger on a krispy kreme donut, but they didn't have them there, only at the Florida State Fair. BUMMER.) And since my tummy was still bugged by the elephant ear/tilt-a-whirl combo I wasn't up for much of anything, I finally settled on a calzone. Nothing too original or spectacular, but it is what sounded good. Kevin had a philly cheesesteak and Tye had a footlong hot dog. They were really yummy.
So for the second treat both Kevin and Tye decided on ice cream. Tye, of course, got chocolate.

While Kevin, of course, got strawberry. But this wasn't just a regular strawberry ice cream, it was a strawberry whip. I tasted it and it was REALLY good. I would definitely want to get it again next year! lol Toooooo many good treats!!

I, of course, lol, stuck to the original, the strawberry shortcake. You
cannot go to the Strawberry Festival without getting strawberry shortcake. I mean that's like going to Hershey Park without getting any chocolate!!! lol It was way to much for me to finish by myself though. Usually we all split it. Still it was delicious!

We had a great day!!! When we got back to the car, we put Tye in his jammies so he would be able to go to sleep on the car ride home, however, he didn't! UGH! lol Can't wait for Novemberfest at Nativity Catholic Church in November (obviously) and then to come back to the Strawberry Festival next year! :-)
