Olympic Pins and Tye's Olympic Aspirations

I promise this will be my last Olympic blog for at least 16 months! lol As I spoke earlier, I told you about the pin case that I thought I was going to get from work. Well I got it and forgot to post it until now. I LOVE IT! And am so glad I got it. A great way to display my pins and hey it included a whole lot more pins inside the bag!!! WOOHOO for me! lol

I love them all, but I especially love the ones that something moves or spins! Makes them extra fun! Once again, if anyone happens to have any and don't care about them I would be more than willing to take them off your hands and add them to my fabulous and hopefully ever growing collection! :-)

So I was posting this on a Spark team I was on and decided I better put it here too for future posterity! lol Tye LOVED the Olympics almost as much as his mommy! If I was doing something during a commercial and I wasn't back yet when they came on he would say "Olympics back on!!!!!!!!" lol

Tye likes to immitate all the athletes. Whatever sport is on he tried to do exactly what they did. He does the "ready, set, go" like the track people! He crouches down and then when you say "set" he sticks his bum in the air and then when you say "go" he hasn't quite mastered that and his feet come up to his hands, he stands up and then goes! And he can run fast! lol

He also tries to spike the volleyball. He says, "SPIKE!" and swings his arm! lol He is so funny.

Kevin also said he was boxing the TV on the last Saturday when they showed all the boxing stuff.

He has also dug out one of those thunderstick things that you get at hockey games and uses it as a sword, like fencing! lol

Soccer and baseball weren't on too much, but the few times they would show highlights he would tell me he was going to play baseball or soccer in the Olympics (I hope he doesn't choose baseball it is too boring for me! lol Guess if it was my son, I wouldn't feel that way as much, but there are a million more exciting sports for me than baseball! lol)

But the absolute funniest is he knows the Olympic song..."Da, da, dada, da ,da ,da, da da dada...." ROFL!! He then says, "Right mom??? You sing it!" lol So then I have to do it. lol He is pretty good at it for a 4 year old! lol

So I guess I will continue to encourage his immitations and hope that he will be really good at it and hopefully make some money on it one day! lol If not, at least have fun doing it and really make it to the Olympics! Now that would be AWESOME! lol I could be an Olympic MOM! lol
