Family Christmas Pictures 2008

Well last night we went and got our family Christmas pictures taken. Our appt was at 6:40pm. They were soooooooo behind. We sat and waited forever! Tye wanted to run around soooooooo bad, but we wouldn't let him because he sweats so easily that his head would be dripping by the time we took our pictures. It would not have been pretty. He did pretty good considering how long the wait was.

She did a great job with our pictures and once again we had a hard time deciding which ones to get. Of course, there was one that I didn’t have a hard time all because I was looking DANG SKINNY in it! That is the one you see above! I almost couldn’t believe it was me! lol

All of this had taken so much time and we still had some other stores to go to in the mall. So we did that while we were waiting for the pictures to print. It was 8:35pm when we started our mad dash around the mall. We went to the Disney store to look at ornaments. Then to Hickory Farms to get some goods. YUM! Then into Macy's to drop off our letters to Santa, but realized we forgot an envelope AND forgot the camera. So that will be done another day. Raced down to Hallmark (clear other end of the mall) only to find their ornaments were $15 compared to the sale of $3.99 at the Disney store! WOOHOO!! Back to the Disney store to buy the ornaments, which luckily was right by the picture place.

When we returned to pick up our pictures, something had happened and they didn't end up printing or got lost or who the heck knows what, it was already a huge fiasco there and lots of people were quite upset. So they had to reprint them so because of that they gave us 2 free prints. Cool, fine with me. We had ordered 4 so we were getting two of them free, well then I realized that we were getting another free because I had a coupon for a free print so I decided to get 5 prints (2 of the wallets for our newsletter picture). Well then when the manager rang us up instead of only charging us for 2 pictures she charged us for 3. I thought it sounded like a lot, but not a ton more than I was expecting, so I thought maybe they had gone up in prices. Well then I looked at the receipt and saw that no, they really had charged us for an extra one. So the manager had to come back up again and credit us the one picture and because of it she gave us ANOTHER FREE print!! WOOHOO!! So we got another set of the wallets. So in the end we got 6 sets of prints (1-8 x 10, 2-5 x 7s, 3-wallets) for the price of 2!! Oh actually less than the price of two because also that free print coupon was also 20% off your entire purchase price. So our total price was $29.75! I think that was a really good price (although not as good as Avry's free pictures or the free ones Max or Sally take for us), but for a studio and all that I thought it was dang good!
Disclaimer: I don't think the scans of these turned out quite the right color. They seem washed out much more than the actual pictures look.
