Letter to Santa

So here is the second post for today (since I once again slacked yesterday! Hey I am glad I got done what I did and it was still 1am before I went to bed! lol). Please scroll down and read the next post so you don't miss anything.

Anyway, I had read on another blog about Macy's having a letter to Santa box and for every letter that was put in the mailbox they were going to donate $1 to Make A Wish Foundation. Since I have a cousin who was able to benefit from that service I definitely was all about helping out the cause!

While waiting to get our Christmas pictures taken Tye wrote his letter. We took it down there only to realize I had forgotten the camera. I HAD to get pictures of it, we forgot envelopes to put the letters in and since my letter wasn't done anyway, we decided to wait.
So on Thursday Dec 11th after Tye got out of school and before his speech therapy appointment we went back to Macy's to drop off our letters. I wrote mine out before hand so it was all ready to go. I even had to take a self-portrait since Kevin was sleeping so he couldn't take the picture for me.
Outside of the mall there were these trees that were finally changing color. Of course, the pics did not come out very good, I took several and because of the lighting this is the best of the batch (it's for you Karrilee, I had been looking long and hard for any changing trees! This is it! lol) Not so great as the one at the rest stop in GA, but at least it is something! lol

Off we went to Macy’s and I had Tye pose in the cute little “Santa” chair they had there and he even drew a picture on his letter to Santa.

Then we had a worker take our picture as we dropped them in the mailbox. Tye could not figure out how to look at the camera and drop it in at the same time. Oh well! lol

After it dropped in, then he wanted to get it back out and do it again…too late! lol So he just looked longingly into the mailbox slot and said, “there’s mine!” lol Too funny.

After we dropped the letters in the mailbox he wanted to ride the escalators, (except he calls it the elevator) we had a bit of time to spare so up we went. He hopped right on himself and then I guess realized it was actually moving as he almost lost his balance and fell of the step! But it was all good; Mommy was there to steady him! lol I looked for some Christmas pj’s for him and couldn’t find any.

Back down the escalator and another quick stop to check if his letter was still in the mailbox. (And in case you were wondering too, yes it was! lol) Then off to our next errand before his appointment.
This was a lot of fun and something I hope they do again next year!
