Now my goal is to get caught up on Christmas!!! lol I hope to do it by next Thursday when my friend's come down from PA to visit us! So be looking for a post a day (or possibly two depending on my mood!)
Of course, you have to decorate to have Christmas. So here are our decorating activities! Kevin and Tye putting up the lights on the outside of the house. Tye is such a good helper!!

I had to put this picture, who wouldn't??? lol Look how adorable he is!!

This is our inflatable snowman. Tye loves to go give him a hug and say hi and bye to him when we are coming and going. He also gives him a high five when he is inflating (since that left hand is low enough to do it then! lol)

HUUUUUUGGGGGGSSSS!!!!!!!

Tye had to put this bear up that my friend Jane gave him. He said, "bear has to sit here so he can watch us while we decorate my tree!" What a silly boy!

Tye decorating his tree. This is his ornament from last year the M&M's. I don't know about you, but we do an ornament every year and try to make it significant for that year. For instance this year we got a Mickey Mouse because we had gone to Disney twice this year. We got Tye Lightning McQueen because he got his pic taken with him at Disney and he totally LOVES that show. Anyway, last year every time we left ANYWHERE that he enjoyed, Carolyn's, my friend that babysat him on Monday while I was working, Oma and Opa's house, anywhere, I had to give him M&M's as a reward for not crying when it was time to leave. The agreement was that if he didn't cry he got them, if he cried I got them to soothe my nerves since I hate hearing him cry! lol (Always makes me feel bad, he never cries when I leave him with the babysitter, but yet he cries when he leaves the babysitters.) So this one is an M&M snowglobe ornament and he is trying to get the "snow" to fall, hence why he is holding it upside down.

This is our big tree in our living room.

This is the Jesus tree in our bedroom. I knew someone in college that they did a Jesus tree with all the names of Jesus on it. So when Kevin and I got married I told him I wanted to do that too and he agreed. So for now that tree goes in our bedroom with white lights on it. And on the glass balls we have put the many different names of Jesus. Also on this tree is all of my angel ornaments. It is really beautiful and I love going to sleep with it on each night (too bad I can't keep it up all year round in there)!

Tye and I did our traditional reading of the Christmas Spider story. It can be found here:
http://www.kraftmstr.com/christmas/books/spider.html. And then we hang our Christmas spider on the tree.

Tye is his father and Oma's child! lol Sticking out his tongue when in deep concentration! lol He was putting the ornaments on the tree for the Christmas countdown.

Tye was oh so excited to have his Christmas train put up. He loves it and will lay on his belly for several minutes watching it go around and around. It is really cool because it has three settings...no sound (my fav), music, and real train noises.

So there are our Christmas decorating activities for 2008!
