St. Patrick's Day 031709

Warning, lots of green food but it still may make you hungry! Better get a snack before you read or else you may want to REALLY eat after!! lol

Unfortunately on St. Patricks Day I had to work. So the night before I prepared the breakfast for them the next morning, all they had to do was heat it up. So Kevin got up and heated up the zucchini scramble (we love this breakfast as it gives us our veggies in with our eggs!) But I also added green food coloring to the eggs so it was ALL green. Kevin also added the green food coloring to his milk too. Tye thought it was pretty cool.

They called me at work and I asked Tye what he had for breakfast and he told me so excitedly "GREEN MILK AND EGGS!!!!" lol I asked him how it got there all green. He said he didn't know. I told him I thought the leprechans left it. He was pretty sure that I was right! lol

Then after work I came home and we made our St. Patricks Day dinner. Here is Tye helping me make the dessert. (There are full pics later.) And no there is not cream of chicken soup in the dessert, that is for the dinner! lol This is pistaschio pudding.

Tye decided that the kitty needed to be festive too. So he puts some beads on him. However, as you can see with the pressed back ears, Emilio was not impressed (or happy! lol)

Our shamrock glasses and his green shirt and pants.
Now with the headband and antennae on!
Daddy's turn with the shamrock glasses!
My cute boy!
Daddy and his boy!
Our family
So here is our dinner.
Close up. Ham, with green funeral potatoes (hashbrown casserole for non-Mormon, Utah/Idaho people lol), broccoli, jello cottage cheese salad (made with lime jello) and lemon lime koolaid. YUM!!!!!!! I told you that you would want some! lol
Dessert
Now for the usage of the pistaschio pudding.....
This is called Leprechan Pie. It has a graham cracker crust, chocolate pudding,
pistaschio pudding with cool whip and pineapple mixed in.

The first piece was soooooooooooooooo good, the rest of the pie Kevin accidentally dropped on the kitchen floor. He managed to save one piece, well that became MINE!!! lol
I think we will make it again some day, but not for awhile, maybe next year! lol

We had a great day and lots of yummy, yet healthy food! :-) Sorry to make you hungry. If you would like any of these recipes please let me know and I can provide them to you.
