Father Son Campout 032009-032109

As soon as they announced in church that they were having a Father Son Campout, Kevin said he wanted to take Tye. Once I found out there were going to be other younger kids there too then I was okay with it.

After getting lost (down a cow pasture! lol), they finally found the church farm where they were having the campout. Their tent was already set up for them and Tye and his buddy, Noah (you might remember him from the Christmas Lane outing. lol) began playing in the tent.

One of the other Dad's brought one of those motorized toy vehicles for the boys to play with. This is Noah (in the back of the vehicle), Tye and Herbie Lee. You can just see how much fun it was for them.

Only one minor accident happened with this vehicle. I am not sure all the details but basically what I understand is at some point Herbie Lee's dad, Herbie stood in front of the vehicle and then said "Superman" (I guess because he could stop the vehicle from moving. Men, I swear.) Anyway, so a moment later, Tye decided he was going to do the same thing and stood in front of the vehicle and yelled "Superman", right before he got RAN OVER by the tractor!!!! Luckily one of the other dad's came over and lifted it off him and rescued Tye.

The guys decided to build a fire to cook their dinner. However, there is a ban on fires because of the draught so they were quickly told to put it out! lol OOOOPS!

Uh yeah, you can certainly tell that the men were in charge. Nasty dirty faced child! lol He even went to bed with this dirty face!!! Dirt and chocolate, a great combination! lol

As you can see there is not ONE picture of the Father and Son together. Nice. lol I am lucky I got these pictures, but I told Kevin not to come home until he had taken at least 25 pictures. So obviously next year I am going to have to qualify that statement. "Don't come home until you have taken at least 25 pictures and at least 5 of them have to be of the two of you together!" lol

I think they had a wonderful time, especially since Tye keeps asking to go camping again! lol
