Okay I digress again, sorry! lol So on March 5th we went to the Florida Strawberry Festival.
While we were there, guess what we did the most of???? If you read my post from back in November and the November Fest (which is the 3rd largest fair in the state! lol, all in our backyard!) you will know this is Tye's FAVORITE!!!! The HUGE slide!!! Kevin and Tye went on it 15 times total and I went on it with him once! lol
You can sure see the joy on his face as he jumps up and as he runs by you says "Let's go again!!!"
Yeah, this was my attempt to take him on something other than the ride.....it didn't work out. This was like the teacup at Disney, but it was a strawberry. And although he loved it at Disney he HATED it at the Strawberry Festival! Oh well! lol Back to the slide...lol
Oh yeah we did get him to agree to go in the helicopter. But only one time and back to the slide....lol
There was this super cute cut out of the county sherrifs officers. He so LOVES policemen. He actually can spot any police car anywhere, even if it is an undercover car!!!!! It is soooo funny!

OH YEAH NASCAR!! Right on and he knows all about the Home Depot car! He spots it every race! lol So he ran STRAIGHT to it when he was getting on the ride! lol
Happy to be on the Merry Go Round! lol
There was this lumberjack show. They had a sawing contest. An ax throwing contest. And a log rolling contest. Along with a few other things.
The guy on the left is a multi time log rolling champion. So he challenged the guy on the right to a contest. Well the guy was like okay. Then he told this lady in the grandstands to stand up and hold her arms out. She did that. And then he says, "see when I hope on this log Buddy (whatever the guy's name was) will go flying and you will need to catch him!" ROFL! And although the guy didn't go flying that end of the log raised up while the other side sunk down at first! lol So they started their contest. Near the end the guy on the right was running as fast as he could and he was like one of those cartoon guys that are running really fast but someone has ahold of their shirt and they aren't going anywhere but their arms and legs are going a mile a minute!!! lol
And he was launched into the water! lol It was a lot of fun to watch!

The ONLY way out.....down the slide that shot you right off the end!!! lol Daddy went with Tye I believe 3-4 times. Mommy went with Tye 2 times! lol

Yep can't go to the Strawberry Festival without getting Strawberry Shortcake. It is a crime!!! lol Just kidding. But it is YUMMY! And of course, since Mommy used to go to fairs all the time as a kid she remembers getting an Elephant Ear. So we have to get that too! (For those that don't know an Elephant Ear is a HUGE scone--dough fried, yeah not so great for the diet, but an awesome special once a year treat.) We all shared them. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!
We had a great time and can't wait to go again next year!
