The first one happened from the get-go. First of all, one of my co-workers told us not to take our car to a lot but that her husband would take us to the airport since he is a teacher and not working during the summer so we could save some money. Well ends up their car breaks down and he has to go to the repair shop to wait for it to get done (not sure why as it was going to take all day, don't most people leave it and then pick it up when it is done?) Anyway, he was stuck there and couldn't take us. So I left work at 11 and she said she would call. I didn't hear anything and at 1:15 I called and asked what was going on (our flight was at 5pm so we needed to leave our house at least by 2:00 to get there in time). Well she had already gone to lunch and didn't have enough time to take us and her husband was still at the shop. I was irritated because instead of totally saying let's do something else, she kept leading me to believe if he wasn't done she would go get him at the shop and let him take her car. BUT she didn't!! So I told her I was just going to do like we usually do and take it to one of those park and fly places and leave it. She convinced me not to do that, but to drive our car to the airport and park in long term, tell her where it is and she and another girl from work would go pick it up for us and take it to our house. Okay fine. So we did that.
Well when we got to the airport, something was going on with another flight and they were in our gate still and had to leave first before we could board our plane. It was weird. Anyway, they got off and we boarded our plane, but it was about an hour late. Oh and in addition somewhere in there there was lightning so they couldn't load the bags on the plane. ARGH! lol (But just wait this is nothing compared to what is to come.)

Luckily the flight went smoothly, but of course wer were about an hour late arriving. So we went to get our bags. I noticed that it said the carseats were on a different belt so I told Kevin to get the regular luggage and I would get the carseat. I go and get it and am walking back to where I left him and he is not there! ARGH, men!!! No he is going the OTHER way and we are following each other in circles. Unfortunately he keeps looking in my direction but I am too short to flag him down. Okay, so question, if you LEAVE someone at a certain spot do you go back to where you left the person or does that person come to find you???? My thoughts, you go back to where you left the person. I was irritated! What a waste of time and energy!!!! lol
So we get out and forget at BWI you have to ride a bus to the car rental area. So we are all crammed on there with a million other people for the bus ride. Which must have been a good 20-30 mins! UGH!
We rented from Budget and they must have had the good deal of the day because there were a million people in line! lol This old couple was at the front of the line at the time and they were ticked when someone that was a "member" (whatever they are called with Budget) "cut in line" ahead of them. Sorry, that's the way it goes old lady! lol Anyway, they were taking forever to get people their cars because there was only one guy working. Oh and they said they only had "trucks" left. So these old people get checked out and start going outside, the guy is taking care of the next person and the old lady comes back in, butts in front of this lady that is at the counter and then says, "oh sorry, I didn't mean to cut in." YES YOU DID or you wouldn't have done it! You would have waited until that person was done and then asked for the guy's help!!! So it must have been another HOUR before we finally got our car and got on the road. Luckily I was smart enough to put Tye's pjs on him so he could just sleep all the way there (it was 10:45pm by the time we got on the road I think).
We were grateful when we pulled into Mary and Jack's house. We hugged them and basically went straight to bed! lol
