Our First Harvests 5/19 and 5/24

So I went out to water the garden and check all of our plants and the boys were inside. Kevin had helped me take the cage off the garden so I could really check stuff. So I watered everything and didn't even notice until I really started lookin and noticed this.
And this...

Yep! We FINALLY have radishes! It said only 22-28 days to harvest, but it took almost 2 months to get to harvest and not all of them are ready, only two were. So I yelled into the boys, "come here quick!!!" So they came and were so surprised!!!

Tye picked the first one.

He was shocked to see the bulb on the end!!! lol The pics have the radish covering his face, but you can still see the expressions he had! He was so happy!

Now it was Daddy's turn to pull up his radish!

Tye was so proud of the radishes and I was happy to see the fruits of our labors!

Daddy prepared them for the boys to eat. We were sad there weren't three so we all could have one. But I get to have the next one! lol

Tye didn't quite like his, but hey at least he tried it. He said it was too hot for him! Oh well!

Then on the 24th I decided to clip off one of the peppers to use in our dinner that night. So cool to use FRESH, not picked earlier in the week or month!!

Can't wait for the rest of the produce to grow and we can use it every day! :-)
