Tye's Birthday Party 052210

We decided to have Tye's birthday at the park this year. He kept saying he wanted it at Lowry Park Zoo, but there was no way I could afford the $300-$500 it costs to do it there! YIKES! lol So we decided on the park. We got there early to get a place and Tye PLAYED and PLAYED while he was waiting for everyone to arrive.

Isn't he adorable even with the dirt, sweat and red face?!?!?!! lol I love this picture of him from this day!
Finally two people showed up, Lily from his class at school and Noah his friend from church. Luckily they brought their siblings since that was all that showed up. Tye was concerned about it. he kept asking me where people were since they had told him at school the day before that they would be there. Everyone that RSVP said no except the two that came. So that was a little disappointing.
But the kids had fun running around being kids! lol

Here is the birthday boy! Again, isn't he so adorable?! lol

Pizza time!!! YUMMY!!!
Lily and Alex

Tye, Noah and Emma
Silly boy making faces.
The cupcakes. Now, let me say I think they are cute, HOWEVER I am very disappointed in them. I should have asked more questions considering the price I paid for them. I thought they were going to be individually hand made/created. Not printed on eatible paper and pasted on the top. Plus the icing underneath was a light blue, not exactly Lightning McQueen/Disney Cars colors. I was not at all happy with what I ended up with. I could have done this myself if I had just bought the stuff to do it! UGH! Oh well, live and learn right?! lol

Time to sing Happy Birthday, make a wish and blow out the candle!

Great job buddy!!!

Those cupcakes are yummy but messy huh Emma?! :-)
Present time! The monster trucks from Oma and Opa were a huge hit!
Of course anything to do with Disney Cars/Lightning McQueen Rocks in Tye's book!

Mommy and Daddy got Tye Legos (I took a few of our presents in case people didn't show up, glad I did now or he would have only had two presents to open!) This is Tye's first set of real Legos (he has had mega blocks for a long time, but no real Legos).
We are glad you had a great day! We love you!!!

Happy Belated Birthday Ty! Looks like they had fun. My kids can choose between a party or a nice dinner out. This year Brayden said he wants to do both, I asked him how, and he said his party will consist of his friends going across the street and shooting nerf guns at each other. lol. That's fine by me.
