She said that FL is perfect weather for the penguins since they are African Penguins. We have basically the same climate as Africa. She talked for a bit and told us that the birds all have arm bands. The ones that have the band on the left are the boys. The ones with them on the right are the girls. If they have the same colored band they are a couple! lol Kindof cool. Anyway, then started feeding them.
Then Tye kept saying he wanted to go see the "stinky elephants". So we headed off to that area. Stopping by to gander at the zebra and giraffes.
And then on to the "stinky elephants". I was able to snap two pictures and then "to the waterpark!" lol
I love having the annual pass because sometimes we go just to go to the waterpark! lol You don't spend any money and the kiddo has a great time in the fountain!
The water was a bit chilly since it was only 11am and cloudy! lol

Okay time to be done and do some other things.
Like see the manatee, or the "gentle giants" as they are nicknamed. So amazing!
One of our other favorites...petting the stingray. We noticed that some of them had scratches all over them and I was wondering what had happened. So I asked one of the workers and she said it was mating season and that was how the male stingray hit on the girls! ROFL Okay!!! lol
We stopped for Wendy's on the way home from the Zoo. It was really yummy...I had the homestyle chicken wrap to go thing and a few fries. Then Tye and I shared the M & M Frosty. YUMMY!!!! lol
What a great day! We had lots of fun and a yummy lunch. And then we waited not so patiently for our friends Mary and Jack to arrive. :-) More about that later!
