We love sweet potatos. Our favorite recipes are sweet potato fries, sweet potato casserole and just a plain sweet potato with a little butter and cinnamon on them! :-) So since we eat them on a regular basis I decided that we should grow some. Well some places told us it was too late, but the county said it was just right. We hunted several stores and found a place in Tampa that sold Sweet Potato sets. So we bought two and planted them. It didn't really give us very good directions on how to go about this, so who knows what we will end up with. Probably too many plants in too close of an area, but this gardening stuff really is a trial and error (maybe sometimes more error than anything! lol)
We decided to do it in a separate container so that it wouldn't try to grow into our other squares of our garden. The plants look pretty sad, but the directions did say that they are pretty hardy plants so they should bounce back after a bit of watering. I sure hope so or else we just spent $12 for nothing!! lol
So here they are. Looking oh so sad, but at least they are planted :-)

good luck! I hope you get some sweet potatoes. It's excited going to check the little garden and only hoping to find good things happening isn't it?
